Business rates thresholds rise

POUND-COIN-THUMB.jpegBUDGET 2016: The threshold for business rates will rise for smaller businesses to £15,000. For larger businesses, the threshold will rise to £51,000.

The inflation linkage will also be adjusted to CPI from the higher RPI.

The chancellor claims that this will mean the average smaller company will pay no business rates.
