An armour-plated fort off the Portsmouth coast is being offered by Lambert Smith Hampton on behalf of owner Clarenco. Horse Sands Fort has a 73m diameter and is listed as a scheduled ancient monument. Planning permission for conversion into 14 luxury flats was obtained in 2004. It has a guide price of £875,000 and the sale takes place on 11 October at Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel, W1.
