Building AI start-up promises big carbon savings

Artificial intelligence building technology start-up BrainBox AI has launched today in the UK and Ireland commercial real estate markets as it expands globally.

BrainBox AI’s technology, which enables buildings to self-regulate heating, ventilation and air conditioning, has been applied across 10 buildings covering 1m sq ft.

BrainBox AI claims it can cut 25% of energy costs and up to 40% of a building’s carbon footprint.

The business already operates in Canada, the United States and is scaling operations across Europe and Asia Pacific.

BrainBox AI chief operating officer Sam Ramadori said: “With cost control and environmental concerns at an all-time high, we need to embrace new ways of reducing the energy footprint that commercial real estate has.”
