BTR firm Cortland appoints finance head from Industrials REIT

Build-to-rent company Cortland has appointed James Beaumont to its UK team as chief financial officer, Europe. Before joining Cortland, Beaumont was chief financial officer at Industrials REIT. He also held the role of finance director at Shore Capital, head of finance in real estate at Cambridge Place Investment Management, and European finance manager at Genworth Financial. In his new role, he will be responsible for supporting the strategic growth of Cortland’s business in Britain. Beaumont said: “Cortland’s vertically integrated model, that includes investment, development, and operational capabilities combined with an uncompromising focus on the resident experience makes it stand out.”  Victoria Quinlan, president of Europe at Cortland, said: “James’s expertise in leading business transformation to fuel growth, coupled with his ability to execute investment transactions will be of enormous benefit as we look to identify new opportunities to grow Cortland’s footprint in the UK.”
