Brum council sell off grows with more properties heading to auction

Birmingham City Council has put four further properties up for sale through auction.

The beleaguered council has instructed Bond Wolfe to sell three freehold retail premises at 147 & 147a Dudley Road and 359-361 Dudley Road, with guide prices of £315,000 and £300,000 respectively, freehold land and buildings at 289-297 Lichfield Road for £250,000 and 74 Nursery Road for £160,000.

The properties will go under the hammer in Bond Wolfe’s 24 October sale.

The council has been steadily selling assets through Bond Wolfe auctions, raising around £6m so far, it has also instructed LSH to sell a portfolio of ground rents for around £20m and earlier this year announced plans to potentially offload 755 homes at Perry Barr to a third party.
