Brown quits RBS for Blackstone

Lorna Brown is leaving Royal Bank of Scotland to join US private equity firm Blackstone.

Brown is currently head of the UK Real Estate Restructuring within the Global Restructuring Group. She will join Blackstone early in the New Year.

The process to replace Brown will be undertaken by Aubrey Adams when he joins RBS on 1 November.

Lorna joined RBS in 2001 and held positions within the Real Estate Finance team, with transaction and credit experience in both debt and equity.

Blackstone is an active investor in direct property in the UK and in commercial debt.

It was recently selected as the preferred party to team up with RBS on the £1.4bn Project Isobel loan book sale and owns half of the Broadgate office campus in the City with British Land.

All parties refused to comment.
