Britain’s growth based on EU inclusion

Euro-and-Union-Jack-flags-THUMB.jpegBUDGET 2016: Chancellor George Osborne has used his latest Budget to promote Britain’s need to stay as part of the European Union.

The chancellor said that Britain was not “immune to slowdown and shocks but that we had a choice” and had to put stability first.

He said that figures from the OBR showed that the global outlook was materially weaker and that it was predicting weak growth across the developed world.

And while Britain is expected to see a slowdown in GDP growth, down from 2.2% in 2015 to 2% this year, the country would still grow faster than every other international economies.

However, Osborne said  those figures were predicated on Britain staying in the EU.

“Britain will be stronger, safer and better off inside a revised EU,” said Osborne.
