Most agree that UK real estate returns will decline in the wake of the EU referendum, but will the investment sector retain its global attraction?
The performance of other global real estate investment markets, and asset classes, may have just as much
effect on investment as the political fallout, and any reduction in UK values could make assets that had reached the peak of their pricing more attractive.
“Investors, particularly those in the commercial property markets, are in for an uncertain few months, if not years. The UK market is likely to experience a re-pricing, but to what scale is unknown,” says Colm Lauder, vice president at MSCI.
