Briefing: A rising middle class

A rush of deals for mid-ranking agents has delivered a bonus 2015 for London’s office advisers. Although CBRE pipped JLL to the top of the EGi’s London office agents league table for a third year in a row, a trio of mid-table agents were the biggest winners, seeing their year end totals more than double those in 2014. Colliers International, Bilfinger GVA and GM Real Estate all saw their total sq ft disposed rise by two and a half times and further widen the gap between the top and bottom of the league table.

At the top, CBRE acted on almost 3.9m sq ft over the year, including 389,000 sq ft to Deutsche Bank at 10 Upper Bank Street, E14, and 275,000 sq ft to Deloitte at 1 New Street Square, EC4.

A strong year for take-up saw Allsop and Deloitte drop out of the top 10 and Colliers International and Bilfinger GVA enter.
