The managing director of private equity firm Bridgepoint will leave his role as British Land’s senior independent director after nine years on the board this summer.
William Jackson will leave the board at British Land’s annual general meeting, set for 15 July. He will be replaced as senior independent director by Preben Prebensen.
Jackson joined British Land’s board as a non-executive director in 2011 and has been senior independent director since July 2017. He has been managing director of Bridgepoint since 2001, having previously led the firm’s UK business.
Close Brothers chief executive Preben has been a non-executive director at British Land since 2017. Before joining Close Brothers in 2009 he spent 23 years at JP Morgan.
British Land will now start the search for a new non-executive to join its board.
