Boultbee LDN has bought a vacant Shoreditch office to add to its pipeline of refurbishing buildings in London’s budding business hubs.
The property development and investment company acquired the long leasehold at 39 Tabernacle Street, EC2, from a fund advised by Mayfair Capital for £8.6m.
The 14,642 sq ft property backs onto Wesley’s Chapel, built in 1778 by the founder of the Methodist church, John Wesley, and the church owns the freehold of the asset.
Boultbee LDN’s development partner for the renovation project is City Innovations. Somerford Real Estate and Stirling Ackroyd advised while UBS provided acquisition and development finance for the refurbishment. JLL acted on behalf of the vendor.
