Blackstone’s Invitation Homes has filed for an initial public offering, and is looking to sell around $1.5bn of shares, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.
The home rental management company’s IPO could value it at $7.5bn.
The sale would enable Blackstone to start reducing its dominant position in the market.
