HM Courts and Tribunals Services has put Blackfriars Crown Court, SE1, on the market.
JLL has been appointed to seek offers in excess of £45m for the 1.4-acre freehold site on Pocock Street in Southwark.
The existing three-storey building currently houses nine courts and ancillary accommodation.
It is due to close by 2020.
Southwark Council’s planners have indicated that they would prefer a commercial-led scheme on the site.
