Birmingham city council is on the hunt for a strong celebrity who will be able to swing the first sledgehammer in the demolition of Masshouse Circus.
Demolition of the raised interchange on the north-east curve of the inner ring road is due to start in the next fortnight to help reconnect the dilapidated Eastside district with the centre.
Another £6bn is needed to turn a wasteland into offices, homes, canals and parkland.
