After an evening spent at the EG Awards event last year, Douglas Green knew he had what it takes to get to the top. A founding director of Green Kinnear Real Estate, specialist adviser in the flexible workspace sector, he had a ticket to fly a Spitfire.
Fast forward a year, and that prize, awarded for winning a game of bingo, which raised money for LandAid on EG Awards night, saw Green head to the Boutlbee Flight Academy at Goodwood Aerodrome, pull on a flight suit, and relish the rare experience of looping through the skies in an iconic World War Two fighter plane.
The prize was donated by Boultbee LDN, the London-based real estate investor and developer, chaired by adventurer and entrepreneur Steve Boultbee Brookes, and managed by Simon Hosking.
