Benmore launches consultation on Liverpool leisure park plans

 

Belfast developer the Benmore Group has launched a public consultation into its plans for a £200m leisure park close to New Mersey Retail Park in Speke in Liverpool.

 

The plans are proposed for a 50-acre brownfield site adjacent to New Mersey Retail Park in Speke.

 

The new mixed-use development which will be constructed on the Speke Road, replacing the current vehicle storage yard, and will comprise hotels, a restaurant, a multi-screen cinema, and a gym.

 

It is understood the company already has a number of tenants lined up to take space in the development.

 

The scheme, planned to be up and running by the middle of 2012, will expect to generate 300 jobs and a further 500 during its construction.
