The issue of kickstarting development in Belfast was high on the agenda at EG’s first Question Time event in the city.
“One of the fundamental problems with the property sector in Northern Ireland is its lack of equity. Until we get to the bottom of that, we are going to have a reasonably static sector,” said Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking Northern Ireland director Craig Logan.
The audience also heard that foreign investors were still nervous about entering the Belfast market because of a lack of transparency and continuing political tensions.
