BCSC to boost Manchester by £3m

BCSC-2015-logo-BCSC 2015: BCSC’s return to Manchester will pour an estimated £3m into the Greater Manchester economy.

Visit Manchester has calculated that the 2,500 delegates attending the retail show will spend around that amount on leisure and hotels.

BCSC, which starts its two-day run today, is back in the northern powerhouse after two years in the capital.

This year, along with the delegates, some 700 occupiers and operators, along with 300 brands, will gather in the 75,500 sq ft Manchester Central.

Land Securities retail leasing director John Grimes is “looking forward to a good show.” John C Devine, president, director for Subway Real Estates expects more deals to add to its UK portfolio of 2,200 stores. While Cushman & Wakefield’s head of EMEA Retail Justin Taylor, and a BCSC board member, says “it’s good to be back in the regions.”’
