Barings Real Estate has secured two more tenants at its recently refurbished grade II listed office building at 8 Waterloo Place in St James’s, SW1.
Apollo Tyres (UK), part of global tyre manufacturer Apollo Tyres, has agreed a 10-year lease for 5,242 sq ft across the first floor of the building at a rent equivalent to £104 per sq ft, and global institutional trading firm Tourmaline Europe has taken the 1,641 sq ft fifth floor on a five-year lease at a rent equating to £115 per sq ft.
The two new tenants will join Brewin Dolphin, which let 5,309 sq ft in January and Asian restaurant Imperial Treasure.
Ian Mayhew, managing director at Barings Real Estate, said: “These two further lettings take the occupancy rate to over 70% in a very short period of time.
“With strong interest in the last two floors we anticipate additional lettings very soon.”
Barings Real Estate acquired 8 Waterloo Place in 2014 on behalf of an institutional investor.
