Barclays hands over running of its UK property to JLL

JLL is to take over responsibility for Barclays’ real estate footprint in the UK and CEME from CBRE in January.

The agent already looks after the banking giant’s property portfolio in the US and Asia Pacific.

Barclays has up to 20m sq ft in real estate across the regions it operates in, of which around 10m sq ft is in the UK.

Conversely, earlier this year CBRE was appointed to oversee Deutsche Bank’s global portfolio, taking over from JLL.

All parties declined to comment.
