Avison Young is offering employees globally the option of working remotely until the end of the year, highlighting the changing working practices that companies will be adapting to even after various countries exit the coronavirus lockdown.
The agency said returning to the office will be voluntary for any employee who is able to work remotely until 31 December.
“We have employees working tirelessly on site to keep our clients’ buildings and projects running and safe,” said Mark Rose, chair and chief executive of Avison Young.
“So many employees have brilliantly adapted to working from home and wish to eventually return to the office. And, what is most important for us as a people-centric company, we have employees managing complex parenting, caregiving and mental and physical health concerns.
“It is incumbent upon us as leaders to support and prioritise their total wellbeing by removing whatever extra pressure returning to the office during a pandemic may present.”
