Avison Young promotes new head of industrial and logistics

Avison Young has promoted David Willmer, head of industrial and logistics in its Birmingham office, to UK-wide managing director for the sector. Willmer has more than four decades of experience in the sector, with clients including Legal & General, Indurent and PLP. He has worked on projects such as Peddimore in Birmingham, a 1.7m sq ft prime logistics development scheme for IM Properties. He takes the post from Andrew Jackson, who is leaving the firm. Nick Walkley, principal and UK president, said: “David is the longest serving member of the Avison Young UK team and has a remarkable track record as a business leader. As part of our focus on investing in our people and expanding our offering for our clients, we are confident David will be an expert lead for our industrial and logistics team in key regional and London markets.
