Avison Young expands national investment team

Avison Young has appointed Guy Spencer as life sciences and workspace director in its national investment team.

Spencer will be based at the consultancy’s London headquarters, where he will drive growth by identifying and securing new investment opportunities.

Earlier in his career, Spencer served as senior director at BNP Paribas Real Estate and was a partner in the national markets investment team at Strutt & Parker for more than 16 years. His expertise and vision is expected to help enhance Avison Young’s ability to deliver value for clients.

The move follows the departure of Avison’s former life sciences lead Jonathan Lowe to CBRE early last year. While at Avison Young, Lowe advised developers, investors, occupiers and universities across multiple asset classes, including offices, industrial and electric vehicles.

Mark Frampton, principal and managing director for investment at Avison Young, said: “The national investment team is emerging from a period of evolution. This has provided an opportunity to strategically align the team with London-based sector specialisms and regional expertise, ensuring a stronger and more focused approach. Guy is a strong addition to our team going into a new year, and his commitment to excellence will undoubtedly drive success.

“We look forward to leveraging his experience and insights to strengthen our offering and deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.”
