Auctioneers’ lunch 2014: 100% success rate

Auction-lunch-2014-a

After a year of robust results, auctioneers from across the country flocked to the West End last month for their now legendary annual networking event.

Estates Gazette treated 60 industry stalwarts and rising stars to good food, fine wine and dubious jokes at the Ivy, WC2, accompanied on piano by EG’s Philip Brown.

Speculation over the General Election was rife, but as the hammer came down on the final sales of 2014, prospects for a prosperous new year seemed almost as certain as another glass of wine.
