Astir Living has lodged plans with the London Borough of Barnet for an 844-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme at Staples Corner retail park in Brent Cross, NW2.
The site, a former trampolining centre, is located in the Brent Cross West (Staples Corner) Growth Area.
Astir’s scheme comprises a 26-storey tower with cluster flats and studios, 35% of which will be affordable, while 51% (including the 35% of affordable accommodation) will be dedicated to a higher education provider through a nomination agreement. The scheme will also provide 85 wheelchair accessible rooms, 640 cycle parking spaces and 30 long-stay car parking spaces.
