Jones Lang LaSalle has placed six employees from its Manchester branch, including its high-profile office agency director Trevor Sloan, under redundancy consultation.
Also affected are directors Andy Frost, Ian Thomlinson and David Law, from the firm’s planning, residential and valuations teams respectively, as well as Andrew Gardiner, associate in office agency, and Phil Morley, associate in industrial agency.
The six are on consultation until the end of the month.
Following JLL’s £197m acquisition of King Sturge in May, the number of staff employed by JLL in Manchester jumped from around 55 to 165. The teams consolidated into the former offices of King Sturge in One Piccadilly Gardens earlier this year.
Five of the six employees under consultation came from the JLL side of the business, with Law previously employed by King Sturge.
Last week, JLL said it had launched the consultation across the UK in response to the ongoing economic downturn and that the process was likely to lead to only a small reduction in staff.
JLL declined to comment on the Manchester consultation.
