Arlington sells Surrey park to Schroders

Schroders is buying a 245,000 sq ft business park in Surrey.

The Schroder Exempt Property Unit Trust (SEPUT) is paying over £37m for the 245,000 sq ft Woking Business Park, which Arlington Securities put up for sale last month.

SEPUT has beaten off competition from rival funds including ING Real Estate and Royal London as well as developer Slough Estates.

The 11-acre site contains 23 industrial buildings and includes Mercedes and the McLaren Group as tenants.

McLaren uses the park as a service and parts centre for the McLaren SLR sports car.

HP Four is advising Arlington on the sale. King Sturge is advising SEPUT.
