Argent and the Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund have signalled that their £120m One St Peter’s Square office scheme in Manchester will be built out, by issuing a tender for the design and build contract.

The joint venture partners have placed a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union to seek expressions of interest.

Argent and GMPVF won consent for the 270,000 sq ft Glenn Howells Architects-designed scheme in February, although have said that the scheme will be pre-let-led.

James Nicholson, development manager at Argent, says: “A great deal of activity has been taking place in the background recently, leading up to the submission of the notice, and we are very excited to be on our way to appointing a contractor for the scheme. Of course, the process takes time but the wheels are most definitively in motion.”
