Lancashire-based non-league football club AFC Fylde has unveiled proposals for a £18m sports stadium surrounded by shops, offices and a hotel.
Mill Farm Ventures wants to develop a stadium with capacity for 6,000 people on a 32-acre Mill Farm site, Kirkham.
The initial Frank Whittle Partnership-designed plans for the space surrounding the stadium include a supermarket, office space, science park and a 63-bedroom hotel.
David Haythornthwaite, chairman of the club, said: “The Fylde sports and science park is an ambitious investment in the local economy and has been put together by a team of experts from Lancashire.”
A public consultation into the project will be held before plans are submitted to Lancashire county council.
