Plans have been submitted for a new 1,300-seat theatre in Wembley to host a world premiere stage adaptation of The Hunger Games.
Flanagan Lawrence-designed proposals comprise building the 85,724 sq ft theatre (including a rotating auditorium), bar and back of house facilities by Olympic Way, west London.
The plans were submitted to Brent council by Wembley Theatre. Lionsgate – which has adapted the bestselling young adult novels into a series of blockbuster films – and Imagine Nation will work on the project.
Subject to approval, the theatre would play host to an adaptation of The Hunger Games in 2016.
