Proposals for a Soho House branch at Stanhope’s redevelopment of the BBC television centre in White City , W12, have been unveiled.

The Soho House club will also include 47 bedrooms, a roof terrace, swimming pool and restaurants.

It will sit on the 14-acre site, which has outline planning for around 950 homes, offices, shops and restaurants . Revised plans that include the Soho House scheme and other amendments will be submitted to Hammersmith & Fulham council by the end of May.

The site has been leased back to the BBC until 2015. BBC Worldwide and BBC Studios will remain at the site post-April 2015 on long occupational leases.

Nick Jones, chief executive of Soho House, said: “West London has always been a spiritual home for Soho House, with Electric House, Notting Hill opening in 2002 and High Road House, Chiswick in 2005. The area has a rich and varied tradition of creative talent and the development of Television Centre will provide a worthy addition to the area and a new home from home for members to work and relax in.”

David Camp, chief executive of Stanhope, added: “The partnership with Soho House is key to our promise that Television Centre will be the best-serviced new community in London. We will also be working with Nick Jones and his team to ensure that we deliver the optimum mix of uses and services for occupiers, residents and visitors.”

Stanhope bought the iconic BBC site with Mitsui Fudosan and the Alberta Investment Management Corporation in July 2012 for £200m. TVC Developments – the joint venture vehicle between Stanhope and the BBC – will deliver the project.
